Fire Show at Fyr Bal in Ephraim, WI!
Cirque Du Cham ignited the night at Fyr Bal for the second year in a row!
Fyr Bal 2024 was a spectacle! The sprinkling of rain couldn’t keep us down. Fires around the lake made for an enchanting fire performance space. It was great to be a part of this event two years in a row - to see familiar faces, and know that people were excited to see us again.
Preparation and Adaptability
From parking to performing, this event was really smoothly executed for everyone involved. The most difficult part of this event was anticipating mother nature’s rain plans for the evening (more on that later).
Because we travelled from a little over three hours away, we decided to camp nearby to make the most of our adventure. Door County is one of the most gorgeous places in Wisconsin, so it seemed silly not to sightsee!
Making the Most of a Wet Situation
The second time around is always easier, isn’t it? Despite the drizzle, our team delivered an awesome fire show to an audience of umbrella-carrying troopers. We watched the weather radar closely and decided to move the show up about 15 minutes to avoid the worst of it. Anticipating the rain, we came prepared with extra canopies and a setup that allowed us to play music and fuel our props under cover. Although the drizzle caused our props to extinguish a bit sooner than desired, the audience’s appreciation for our persistence made it worthwhile. Their gratitude was evident, especially with the unfortunate cancellation of the fireworks.
How People Felt
The feedback from organizers and attendees was overwhelmingly positive. They commended our flexibility, professionalism, timeliness, and willingness to travel.
